Depends on the kind of glue. Some glues are solvent based, definately would make you sick. Elmer's Glue is non-toxic. We have a guy at work that runs a glue machine. He is constantly licking his fingers, no matter how many times I tell him not to. He also chews on masking tape like it was gum.
