I'm 16 and was wondering if i should be taking any supplements for like mass gaining. I'm about 5'8" and weigh about 140.

Any help with gaining mass or any supplement intakes would be great.

Thanks in advance.

A solid/healthy weight gainer wouldnt be a bad place to start. Eat to grow.

holyshit i read the title
who in thier right mind would wanna take a 16 yr old supplement?

ok now that jokes aside

aight guy
id go with

L-arginine
check swansonvitamins in my sig

some tribulus
some red clover leaf
Tongkat Ali
Creatine ethyl ester
Arginine ethyl ester.

Just eat a shit load man. I learned the hard way that weight gainers are a waste IMO.

At 16 you don't need any supplements for like gaining mass.

Just eat lots and work out hard

Did you read his question

Why does a 16yr old need to take trib. Eat, Eat, EAt, and mabey do a gainer just watch out for the extra sugar/fats in some of them. Also watch to make sure that what you get does not contain a whole lot of extra stuff (creatine, glutamine) at 16 you should recover well enough that you don't need that. Stay natural at least until you are 18+, then do your research, ask more than one individual and use the power of the net to look up things on your own. Just because your buddy or the guy at the gym looks good doesn't mean that what he is doing is right for you. If you are really into this by the time you get 18 you will know your body well enough to make the right decision for you. This might sound preachy but I have been doing this a long time and I hate the fact that smart@$%^'s who think they know it all can not even answer a simple question, this would be a great board if it were not for some people who need to get a life and grow up. Go ahead and fire back I am sure you have nothing better to do.

What would be a healthy weight gainer? Something that your parents would approve?

Isolate Gainer 2000? It looks something like I need. Good price, but is it worth it, or is it just isn't going to work?

Also is eating more calories helpful? Such as lets say foods with high calories.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't use a "weightgainer". Just eat real food. From what I have seen of weight gainers, they have a crapload of sugar and a crappy source of cals. Sure you will gain weight but not the kind you want unless you want to get fat.

As for more calories being helpful for gaining weight...that is exactly the case. Just make sure you are eating the right kinds of food, so check out the stickies in the diet and nutrition section.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Weight Gainers blow monkey balls. All the calories come from sugar, they are expensive (I sure as hell couldn't afford them when I was 16) and the containers only have 10-15 servings because you need like 6 big ass scoops for one serving. Buy a regular whey supplement then mix bannanas, oats, peanut butter, and honey in a blender. Thats a weight gainer for ya :thumb:

why the hell are you recommending things like tribulus to a 16-year old???

I was referring to a home made weight gainer, not that crap you buy in the stores ;)

Something like this:

2 scps ON
16 oz Skim Milk
2 tbsp NPB
1 bananna
1/2 cup oats

Thats about 1000 extra calories.

A "Weight Gainer" can be used because it has an overabundance of calories, Ensure is a weight gainer that can be used and it also has a good amount of protein in it although it is expensive. The hardest part about some of the BB weight gaining eating strategies is that it is hard especially for someone in school to eat 6 times a day and a gainer or MRP is a good way to supplement a meal during school or work. You can find some that are very low in fat the diffence will be the taste, but if you are like me the taste doesn't matter that much it is the achievement of a goal plus there are always natural alternatives you can add, (Honey, cinnamon),

not even close bro, maybe about 600

I started creatine at 16, as well as AAKG, and glutamine. at 15 i started amino acid pills and protein powders.

dont rush. i mean it is your choice. but dotn think all this stuff will make you bog. you still gotta bust your ass, rest, hydrate, and eat eat eat like a bitch to gain.

good luck, good lifting.

My dad was the coach of my football teams for most of the years i played. He had us all in the gym during off season at 15 and on aminos/multi's/whey.
He tortured the shit our of us, but it paid off the next season.
He owned a golds up here for most of the 80's and treated us like hard core lifters haha...

Im 15 I dont tak any supplements but im gonna start takin whey protein, i cant cook chickenbreasts every three hours and the way i make them they taste like dudu

I mean i do take whey protien after workouts, which is like 3 or 4 times a week.

i started now adding banana's to my shake and see where that leads me.
