2 ?? about form on dumbell bench and pullovers

ok i am so confused.

Dumbell bench press
i did a search and didn't find anything on placement of your arms how wide they should be. I bring them as far as i can down and the end of the dumbell are 3 inches away from my side. elbows out. dumbellls are perpendicular to my body.

question 2
pull overs

i just started doing these with dumbells. I am just curious about this felling i get. after my set i fell this stretch/ or soreness in my ribcage. its not painful just different. i read somewhere that you should keep you butt as low as possible and take deep breaths.

SIMPLY KEEP ELBOWS OUT, PERPENDICULAR TO YOUR BODY AND HAVE BELLS SIMPLY COME DOWN TO THE SIDES OF YOUR CHEST. KEEP CHEST HIGH WITH A SLIGHT ARCH IN LOWER BACK TO KEEP IT THERE.

THERE IS A HUGE STRETCH IN THE RIBCAGE WITH PULLOVERS AND ALOT OF WORK IS DONE BY THIS "FINGER LIKE" MUSCLE ON THE SIDE OF THE RIBCAGE CALLED THE SERRATUS. IT MAKES SENSE THAT YOU FEEL WHAT YOU DO. AND YES, INHALE DEEP AS YOU BRING BELL BEHIND YOU AND KEEP THE BUTT DOWN.
