My schedule over the next two to three months is going to be quite hectic. I doubt I'll have the time or energy to get to the gym 3 days a week, like I normally do. I'm interested in your suggestions for a 2 day a week full body workout. Why a full body workout? Well, I haven't done one in over 12 years. I usually consider them a waste, but my training has grown stagnant of late and I'd like to try something different. Any suggestions or past threads you could reccommend would be appreciated.

No problem.I just realized I am going to have a busy couple of months myself.Probably the best thing to do all around is cut back to an abbreviated routine.Could be worse. We could be injured instead of burnt out.Good luck!

I honestly cant argue with you, but I probobly will end up doing something very similar to what I've been doing, with the exception of condensing it into 2 days. I'm not looking to make impressive gains with this routine. I'm more interested in something to bust me out of a recent rut I've been in over my last 2 splits. 2 days a week is a realistic assumption for the time I'll have available for workouts.

I had to use a two day full body routine several years ago when I was on a limited time schedule.I found it very productive for about 6 weeks. Here is what I did:
Day 1-
Squats(legs/hips) 5x5
Military Presses(shoulder girdle) 5x5
Wide-Grip Chins(back) 50 total reps
Back Extensions(midsection-posterior) 2x10

Day 2-
Deadlifts(legs/hips) 5x5 alternated w/ 1x20
Weighted Dips(shoulder girdle) 5x5
Hammer Seated Rows(back) 5x5
Sit-Ups(midsection-anterior) 2x10

I didn't worry too much about calf work or cardio, and my arms got alot of stimulation from the dips and chins.I would recommend a routine similar to this. Most abbreviated routines like this are good because most people use such a high level of volume, that this little bit of work gives the body a break for a while. As a matter of fact, I need a bit of a break from all the high volume I have been doing.I think I will go on an abbreviated routine for awhile myself. Thanks for the idea.

ballast, thanks. I'm a bit burned out myself to be honest. I dont see it getting much better the next two months either. I may give your routine a run. Thanks again.
