I started out about 3 or 4 years ago on the Body For Life Program which recommends 6 small meals daily. While I followed the 6 small meal recommendation (portions size of clinched fist). But I've noticed in the last year or so that I still eat 6 meals but they are no where near small. I usually consume twice as much as a non-dieter eats in his regular meal. They can't believe I eat so much at one seating and then when I tell them I eat like this 6 times a day, thier eyes literally bug out of their head. Don't know where this is going or anything, but just wondered if anyone else experience's this :D

I just started eating 6 meals a day. I was focused on only protien. But now inclued more carbs. Specifically complex carbs and fiberous carbs. I am trying to increase my metabolizm. As to the size of the meals, mine are quite small. I would say, like half the size of my normal 3-meal a day sizes. I have read the if you eat 6 or so evenly spaced meals that you will tend to eat more over the day as your metabolizm increases. I have noticed that I am increasing the sizes of my meals B/C I seem to be getting hungery before my 3 hours are up. Which is why I have included more fiberous carbs. Is there something else or in lieu of fiberous carbs I should be eating? I am tryng to eat low fat as well.

Fibrous carbs and drink a boat load of water in between meals to keep hunger down if your dieting. You could also use the supplement called Leptigen or take and ECA stack to help alleviate hunger pains.

what i consider small meals are also larger meals then what most everyone eats, but that is the advantage of keeping your foods clean, you can eat a lot more of 'em.
