Hello to everyone,
Ok, here's the deal. I am 27yrs old. A fat but strong guy. I am 5' 11" tall, and I weigh 265lbs. I have been steadily working out for the past 6 weeks and seeing as I am making this a regular habit, I am going to keep track of my changes on here.
So here's what I've been up to. I started in mid-December weighing roughly 255lbs. I took measurements of my neck/chest/arms/stomach/waist/thigh/calf in order to keep track of progress.
Here is the program I have been doing. I do this 3-4times a week.
Run 1.2miles. (I started at .5mile before I was about to die, so progress made here, i eventually plan to progess to 2.5miles)
bodyweight lunges down and back a basketball court.
"ironchairs" for 3 sets of 30seconds
bodyweight calf-raises, 3 sets of 50
75 pushups (1/2 with arms out wide, 1/2 with arms in close)
100 crunches, and( I also do 60 of an exersise where I lay on my back and hold my legs out straight off the ground. I then swing my legs left and right for 20 counts. with 5lb ankle weights. I don't know what these are called.)
Military press with 27lb dumbells, 3 sets of 15
Inverted rows with 27lb dumbells, 3 sets of 15
Curls with 27lb dumbells, 3 sets of 12, 10, 8
Shoulder shrugs with 27lb dumbells, 3 sets of 15
Here is the progress I had after 1 month.
-.5in neck
-1in chest
+.25in arms
-1in stomach
-.3in waist
-1in thigh
+.5in calf
Gained 10lbs.
So i seemed to have gotten a little smaller but I have gotten heavier. So I assume this means that I have built alot of muscle and burned some fat. I still have alot of progress to be made with my eating but I am taking good steps.
I've also added a good 4-5" to my vertical leap over the past month. I can touch a 10' basketball rim now, which i havent done in YEARS! haha I'm curious to see where i'll be when i shed the 55+ lbs of lard that is choking my body.
I have given up pop and candy for good. So far 5 weeks free of it. My next big challenge will be butter and cheese. I seem to like them.
So there is where I am. I am not necessarily trying to build too much muscle as much as I am wanting to get fit and trim. I welcome all constructive criticism.
Thanks for reading!!
