A little background info.
I am 15 years old standing 5"7 weighing in at about 140 lbs. I started working out and made a plan where I would increase the weight every two weeks while working out all the parts (arms legs chest ect) and it has been going fine and iv been making gains that I'm happy about but now I'm doing a standing curl (not sure if that???s the technical term for it or not) at 90LBS. the problem is that I normally do three sets of eight-ten but I can only do one set of 90 clean and then the next set is less and I can hardly do two clean reps on the last step.

Should I just do one set of ten then five then two or drop the weight back two 80-85 lbs or just up the weight to about 95-100 for one set of six to eight reps?

I don't know why anyone would want to do 18 reps per set. Use a heavier weight and keep it in the 6-8 range.

I think he meant 8-10. ;)

Personally if you want to get stronger, then keep the reps lower.. 2-5 range and do more sets...
if your goals are primarly muscle growth, then let the ego go out the window a bit and cut back on the weight an work reps slightly higher with less sets.
