Is a healthy dose of squats, deadlifts etc... combined with some stability excerises/core training enough to build defined abs without doing any isolated ab exercises
Defined abs aren't "built". Definition increases when bodyfat decreases. As for every other aspect of core/ab training - yes. Big compound movements, and a few good stability exercises are fantastic. Most people completely overdo it, and usually on movements that do absolutely nothing, or even risk an injury.
doing BUilts's baby got back and shoulder module really strengthened my core, and after a few weeks cutting, abs are getting there... situps always bothered my back
I was grinding with a girl in a nightclub once and I swear my abs doubled in size since then. Had a sore core for about 5 days which never happens. Try clubbing.
