Does anyone go through a bout of frustration after a competition? Seems like I want to eat everything I see, I am constantly hungry. It is also depressing to see some weight coming back on after the strict diet I had been following pre-contest. Anyone have any advice about getting through this stage and getting to a sort of balance between the strict diet of pre-comp and a "normal" diet that will help me maintain this physique I have worked so hard on????

I think I remember seeing a journal about post-comp eating habits and such but I can't find it now.

Oh...post comp eatting. I've been at it for two weeks now. I usually have to set another goal to get back on track. If not...I will blow up like a house.

Only thing I can really suggest is to up the calories to a maint. amount and do some cardio but not like pre comp cardio. Perhaps have a scheduled day as the day you have goodies. If I don't have some sort of structure, I tend to go all out on the eatting thing and not do any cardio, which isn't a good thing.

I am going through the same thing. Rebound effects suck. Especially whenever you go back and look at all those pics of yourself cut as hell. But remember, your body can only take so much. And when you deprive it of calories and carbs and fats for so long, whenever you do eat such things again, it is going to hang on to everything. It takes a while for the body to balance itself out. Just give it time and don't overdo it. Try and do some cardio get back to some serious weight training. Take advantage of the weight gains and pack on some serious mass. Consider your goals for next year and consentrate on the things that lack in your physique. Hell, I'm two weeks after a show and my ankles and face are still swollen from retaining water after the dehydration. It will pass and then you can get back on track.
