i'm not gonna argue with you about it. i'm just sharing what i was told. anyway, why would you not want to give alertpay a chance to fix their problem 1st? what could it hurt? they have 5 days to fix it, then supposedly they side with you.[/QUOTE]

If you want to wait, there's nothing wrong with that.

it is a credit card. i applied and got it through my bank "chase". i know the branch manager really well, so i called him 1st.

In my experience alertpay never contacted me, even after I opened a dispute going by their guidelines. I've gotten a e-mail saying I opened a dispute and nothing more, when I logged in it never showed anything.

My friend opened a dispute and it's been 6 days and they didn't respond after he e-mailed them again asking what was going on. I hope you get your money back though :ohyeah:

Interesting, when did you order?

Wow that's a long time.

Found this interesting:

"first piece of advice, don't what ever you do dispute the charge with alertpay. Just go straight to your bank or credit card company. I say this because in the terms and conditions when you open a dispute with alertpay you agree to accept the final outcome and not to hold them liable i.e. if they say no to your claim and if you then later dispute the charge with your bank you won't win. Just bypass alertpay and go direct to your card issuer, my bank warned me of this due to problems they had with alertpay and this "agreement."

Anyone have any luck with their AlertPay dispute?

its doesnt sound like im going to have luck after hearing this :showers:

Went through something similar with Paypal once where you are not allowed to file a dispute for so many days and yet Paypal allowed the seller to wipe out his account of all funds collected during the waiting period. I filed a dispute that was found in my favor but Paypal informed me there were no funds to recover. I called there and spoke to a customer rep who I explained to that they have a fault in their system that allows this to happen. She agreed and promptly offered me a full refund saying she really had no choice seeing as she knew my next call was to my credit card company.

Think I may call my credit card company first and see what they have to say. AlertPay says a dispute must be filed within 30 days and I'm already at 18 so still have a bit of time to inquire and hopefully get the right advice concerning a refund. Just don't want to jump the gun and then realize it was the wrong decision. Personally, I think these payment middlemen (Paypal/AlertPay) should hold the funds until both parties are satisfied with the outcome of a transaction. Protects all involved acting as an escrow account and would make the restitution process much simpler.

i did the last step on my part for alertpay dispute. waited 5 days for seller to respond then responded back to contact request form within 10 days. waiting to hear what happens next

Seems like alertpay are a-holes about it, I would just go directly to the Credit Card.

None of those online payment companies are of much help....paypal is the worst. I've had a few issues with Alertpay before but they were quick to help me... never had to get a refund for that though, so my experience is different. Best of luck to all who is owed money.

On a side note, I heard thru the grapevine that orders are actually still going out... slowly...
