How do you know he's drug free? Do you have any evidence to support that claim or do you believe he's natural just because he plays for the Yankees?

Nobody really knows what goes on behind the scenes ... in the dugout, in the offseason and so forth. All i know that is everyone is innocent until proven guilty but you cannot assume one player is natural and the other is a steroid freak.

I am no homer, I am not even an A-rod fan but I do respect his achievements.
How do I know he doesn't use steroids, I don't know. I feel he is drug free the same way i feel Ortiz is drug free and Manny is drug free.....he may just be a pot head though.

Why is he not better than those guys though? How can you compare players from different eras? So many things have changed in the game....they play more games now (which obviously says something about what those guys did in a shorter season), but they also have longer road trips and because they play more games, they break down more and their bodies get destroyed. maybe those guys could not have held up to the amount of time these guys are putting in. maybe without the supplementation (not taking illegal drugs) and specific training that these guys now do (year round), the players of yesterday would not be able to hack. So, would they be any less of player because they are taking advantage of these things....new advances in training, new knowledge in nutrition and supplementation, etc....???

it is just to hard to look at those players and compare them to todays players.

I don't like a-rod. I do think that he is an incredible player and I like what he does. I think he works incdreibly hard to be the best he can be.

b) it is a different game. Should we take away the praise we sing for glavine because of his 300 wins, only 57 of them were complete games....NOT EVEN HALF?? That is fucking lame. Guys used to pitch only complete games. Should Glavine be put in the same breath as some of those guys that he has just joined in that elite club? Where is the bullpen that finished those games for Glavine, maybe we should praise them too?
