Wtf is wrong with the states and their canned tuna. I moved here recently from Canada, and the quality of tuna is just disgusting. Chunk light tuna is a mash of fish and for some reason it says it contains soy as well. I would like to eat tuna, but I don't want to be consuming soy. Has anyone come across a good brand, without soy, and the chunk preparation simply the loin inside the can? Cloverleaf was awesome when I purchased it in Ontario, I can't seem to find good quality tuna down here.

what brand are you eating?

why would you think that the mercury count would be significantly lower with salmon?

From the medical studies that are all over the internet. I posted a few awhile back on the board.

I was just trying to get regularly seen store stuff, so I looked at Starkist and the other one, both are disgusting. For me to get the same quality of tuna I got low end in Canada, I have to pay 3-5x the price here. We have a Sams Club membership and they don't have anything other than Starkist.

You're not in Kansas anymore. It's a shame but that's just the way it is. I avoid the tuna and eat lean white fish like cod, haddock and halibut. Go for the wild caught and avoid products of China, IMO.
