Hi i was wondering if i am overtraining. every monday and fridays i benchpress or just on wensdays. I alternate about 2 times 1 week and the alternating week once. The thing is i do 5 sets of 6 reps of incline benchpress then right after 5 sets of general benchpress and then 5 sets of declined benchpress. AM i Overdoing it?

Also i have a question about my triceps and biceps should i be doing these muscles the same day of the week or different days. For example it would be on mondays and fridays that i do it or just on wensdays depending on my schedule.

should i put it biceps on monday and triceps on fridays or is it ok i do both of them the same day my burn is incredible but im just wondering.

Are you growing and lifts going up?

Its ok to be doing them the same day, however, doing them twice a week probably isn't going to help being that they get worked doing back as well.

you could go either way, if your growing and your lifts are going up then keep doing it.

yes i am going up slowly but what is the normal rate i should be going at i dunno if im slow or fast thats the thing i use free weights.

What is your whole week like? Are you working legs and back as well?

i go to school pretty much 5 days a week so i try to fit in as much as i can

well mondays wendsdays and fridays i try to workout but for the last 5 weeks ive only been able to work out for about 2 days a week. I will do my arms once or twice but i have been noticing that for the 5 weeks that i have only done it once the arms have gotten bigger. Bigger infact then when i did it twice a week. And that is hard for me to except it i mean i am used to working out alot and seeing that only once a week and they look nice is hard to except for some reason. I dont know if it is the same for the chest.
I am pressed for time so often times i only have time to do my arms and chest which i know is bad. I used to do my legs and back but i dont have the time right now. I have to start doing my squats and deadlifts. But for not its only my chest arms and abs sometimes maybe every two weeks i squeeze in the legs. I do not go to a gym instead i have home equipment i have been workingout for about 2 years now.

I also run 30 mins before one exercise on a treadmill and 15 mins on other days on a stairstepper thats about as much leg as i get in until i start doing leg exercises thanks for your help:)

Your right, that is bad.

If your so pressed for time, i would suggest you try circuit training, use one or two exercises per muscle and do a whole body workout each time your in the gym.

The reason I suggest this is that your arms and chest will not grow out of proportion to the rest of your body so, you will see results doing what your doing now but they will soon fade.
