i was reading about taking amino acids with every meal. has anyone tried this? what kind of results did you get?

With this you won't see direct results or nothing. It'd just be like upping your protien intake.

If you have plain protein daily uptake you would see no much difference at all, since you would have to swallow a few of pills... most of them are in the range of 1gr of protein per pill! the benefit of beeing aminoacid is that is not so wasted biologicaly and have better biological value... So taking 1 gr of aminoacids is better than taking 1 gr of most whey protein powder! But if you uptake a lot of (i mean a Huge LOT of ) whey protein, you will get them out most of it, and with aminoacids you will force the liver to sythetise it!

this didn't really answered your question...

The aminoacid uptake with meals is probably to not rech your stoach in high concentrations! But believe me, they are not much significant! a bottle of amino gvies me pills for almost 3 motnhs, since i just take 1gr with the whey protein after workout! just improoves the proteins quantity... thats all!

ok, thanx for the info guys

My BCAA tell me to take them on an empty stomach. I also take 6 a day, all at night before bed.

Yea, from what I read its almost like increasing the value of the protein you already take, helping to spare it for your muscles.

alright. so would you guys say that adding BCAAs to your diet is worth it? or no?

Well, it depends, I am cutting so I just want to ensure that my body does not use muscle when it needs BCAAs which the body will do if it does not have them availabe. If you're not cutting though I am not sure if I would say it's worth taking them since your diet will not be restricted.

BCAA's are very cheap, I guess it depends if you want to spend the money on them or not.
