Does anyone still take the plain old amino acids anymore? I remember back when I first started working out, they were pretty much the only supplement anyone ever took.....ahh the good ol' days.
Regular amino acid tabs are pretty much obsolete, however, individual aminos, like glutamine or arginine, or specific combos, like the BCAA's, are still used quite often. Certain aminos on their own and at high enough dosages have relatively powerful effects within the body. Glutamine is one of the best supps you can take, and it is used in gram dosages.
