Iran? Pakistan?
Maybe the US military should look on the sales receipt, after all they did support the use of Iraq's chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war.

Hey since we are rehashing this again and it will , as always end with the same people saying the same thing. Lets get the other arguments going.

Are the Catholics right or are the Protestants right?

Hell, your're not even 21 yet. All you know is what people tell you. I was voting before you were even born. I've forgot more than you know. And this is not a direct attack toward you, but mostly toward people your age that are very liberal because of what they have been taught and not what they know.
And you know which president is more credible from first hand expirience? You and I are in the same boat.

And i'll be 21 in 11 days :angel2:

Steven is right, they are both wrong!

Well politics is about big money and jobs no matter which side you are on. The lies Kerry has told on his flip-flopping is no better IMO than slick wille. And my views are far from yours.

Dale, I agree with this, but I was just making a point that it would be silly to argue which one of those were right also. As it would be to argue whether or not Steven is ever wrong... just silly

And did you not hear these lies through soembody else, or were you there to listen to them first hand ?

I'll agree that our views are different. I"m not right or left. I think our choices suck.

If you'll notice, I didn't push for Kerry anywhere. You automatically assumed I must be Pro Kerry since I obviously do not like Bush.

You probably think I would be pro Kerry because my parents are :blah: Am I not right?

There are many different kinds of people who do not like Bush. The sole reason isn't because they like Kerry.

I wonder which way Arnold's kids will vote.

No I actually know Kerry's voting record on things like the iraq war and taxes.
How am I suppose to know your parents liked Kerry unless like you just mentioned it??

I didn't mention it. I said you probably assume that they do. My parents do not talk about politics with me for that very reason. :thumb:

What is absurd about this is that Bush is constantly torched by the media. The media is clearly biased against him and has been since day one. The notion that Bush used the media is completely laughable.
Leftist motivated Liberals sitting at the copy desk of a newspaper publication or getting behind the mic at a radio station do not constitute "the media".

Pepper my point is that Bush used the media as a voice like John Wayne used his "I'm not gonna hit ya ... I'm not gonna hit ya ... the hell I'm not" before going into Iraq. There was never a doubt in his mind what he was going to do. He cowboyed his way in there and did what he wanted too.

All Presidents get their butts dented in by the media. It is how we try to keep them honest ... too bad it didn't work.

How do we keep Kerry honest?

Look at his voting record, and what he says about it. (Two different things)
Look at his hypocrisy at the 527 monies. (Ok for him, not anyone else)

Bro I care about keeping Kerry honest, I really do. He has another term he will want to run for and that will help a lil'.
Bush has no such deterrent if he gets re-elected. Imagine what a guy that doesn???t care about keeping his job later could do in his position ??? it is horrifying Stick. He is a Republican so all the other Republicans are gonna go with whatever he does cuz he is their boy. I am mostly Republican, but I vote on the issues not the man. This dude has lied his ass off and the right doesn???t question his BS ??? it is just swallowed and regurgitated as fact and truth and the American way.

The way the Bush crew has established the patriot act, has structured the Supreme Court???s guidelines in such a way that gag orders are automatically put on anyone that challenges the patriot act in federal court, and the total control over all legal authorities is frightening. There is virtually nobody that can take an issue with Bush to court now and demand an open public forum. Not possible under his new set of laws. For a government to take total control of the legal and governing process and limit your access to it is in complete violation of your rights as an American and against the constitution as it was written. You should stop worrying about what Kerry might do and really look over Bush???s history, what he has already done to your rights as an American.

Then vote. Which ever way you choose to go here ??? fucking vote anyway!!!

You're bringing up the Patriot Act. Guess who else voted for it? Yep, Kerry.

Here's the actual vote tally from it. So, out of 100 folks, only two didn't vote for it. If you are going to blame someone, blame the senate. Even IF Bush didn't want it, it would have passed, regardless if he veto'd it.

Notice the amount of Democrats that voted for it.

"Measure Title: A bill to deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world, to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools, and for other purposes"
This is the part that most poeple over look. There is fine print on EVERY bill/act. Calling somebody not honest or a Flip Flopper without knowing the whole story is a joke.

Just like local 'proposal' voting. There's strings attached.

BTW, both cadidates still suck.

You have to have some lee-way. You never know what you might run into that is not covered if you don't. Name me one instance where this power has been overstepped, and not justified. You can't do it.
Just like the guy here in Charlotte a few weeks ago who was caught photographing the buildings downtown and he happened to be of middle-east decent. Was he a terroists? Not that we can prove. But guess what? He was here without any visa or passport. I think they are right in charging him. Face it. Times are changing and we have to adjust to a new way of thinking and living.

That photographer thing is freaky.

I live in Austin ... I fish below the lake travis dam. You do not get there without some effort. The road ends some 1/2 mile away from the area mentioned... then you hike. It is not a scenic hike, and normally a very hot one as there is very little breeze there. In fact the only reason to go there is to fish ... and you need to be good at it to catch anything. Very few people go there.

There were no pictures from Mt. Bonell ... a local treasure that gives an awesome view of Austin ... nothing of a real "tourist" nature.

That dam getting blow up would kill thousands here as the whole of Lake Travis flowed through the old river basin and meandered into the downtown area. Lake Austin is below Lake Travis and is the location of some of the most expensive homes in the region. There are subdivisions with winding roads that all eventually lead uphill (I can't help but see suv's turned into submarines, then coffins) would be come useless to use as escape routes and would provide little help for rescue attempts. The losses would be in the extreme.

I have not been seeing the people from that part of the world that work in the convenience stores here in Austin with the same eyes as I did before 9/11 ... no-one does. Now the feelings are even more intense and I feel a primal protective urge to test anyone possessing the facial features and physiques of people from the mid east to see what they think of Americans:

"Hey Habib how do you like that America has carpet bombed the shit outta your home town?"
or ...
"Hiya Abu did you know that my brother is a pilot in the air force and he and I have had some great fun looking at his 'scrap' book hahahaha get it 'scrap' book?" ... and see what kind of reaction I get.

Maybe I'd then have to make a citizen's arrest ... hmmmm.

Before ya bar-b-que me (I don't even have a brother)remember this is just a thought . For now.

I lived in Austin for years.

I've fished lake Travis before, normally by boat, but I know where you are talking about. I got caught in a lightning storm one time while in a boat on Lake Travis. You talk about some scary shit. We were pretty far from the boat launch we used. (In a very slow boat).

I think I would have jumped out and swam, was it a fibreglass boat?

No, it was my buddies aluminum john boat. The water got too rough to jump out and swim, never mind it was a long way to shore. Lake Travis is a HUGE lake.

Lake Travis:

Lake Travis is 63.75 miles long, and its maximum width is 4.5 miles. The lake covers 18,929 acres, and its capacity is 1,953,936 acre-feet. The lake is considered full at an elevation of 681.1 msl. At this elevation the lake contains 382,092,882,600 gallons of water. There are 270 miles of shoreline around the lake. It has a maximum depth of 210 and an average depth of 62 feet

After Gulf War #1 the U.N. weapons inspectors went into Iraq and documented thousands of TONS of illegal WMD's. One of the main resolutions that resulted from that discovery was that Iraq (Saddam) was required to destroy every one of those weapons and have their destruction witnessed and documented by U.N. inspectors. What did Saddam do instead? He tossed out the inspectors. Now we go back in and don't find the weapons. Do you think he went ahead and destroyed the weapons out of the goodness of his heart? I don't. I think he hid them. Where? I have no freakin' idea................and THAT is what scares me. It's also why I support Saddam's ouster 100%. Now I support finding out exactly where all those tons of weapons are today.

A note to anybody and everybody that keeps saying GWB lied about WMD's: You're a fucking idiot. There are official U.N. documents PROVING he had them. British Intel says he had them. RUSSIAN Intel says he had them. Even your boy Kerry said he had them. And the fact that thousands of TONS of WMD's are now floating out there in the hands of who the hell knows doesn't bother you? That's almost as scary as the WMD's themselves.

Bush won't go out like that... What about Clinton & his last-minute pardons... what a joke. He should be in jail. The fact that people still bought that criminal's book & still embrace him blows my mind.

Yeah, fuck you. :attitude:

I wouldn't wear that shirt, period. Any Armed Forces member that wore something like that would be courts-martialed promptly, and with good reason.

Anyone that would wear something like that is a traitor in my eyes.

Ahh, you've got to be able to laugh at these kind of things & not take it so seriously. I support the President 100%, but I still laugh at the jokes about him.

Really? And who was that Army officer who was touring the country, speaking to fundamentalist evangelical groups about the War being a christian conflict against Satan? And telling the great story about telling that Somalian tribal leader that HIS God was greater than their God? He just got a little slap on the wrist for not clearing his oft-repeated Holy War remarks through the Pentagon.

Oh now, don't you think traitor is a pretty strong word? Especially since I'm pretty sure you'd be first in line to buy that shirt if The Party didn't elect the next President. . .

I think it's just an effective a joke as those Republican slogans I've seen around here. . .

If you are looking for me to say a good thing here about Clinton you will need to pack a years worth of lunches ... I am mostly republican.
