Hey, what's up? I'm glad I found this place.
I'm pretty much a total newbie; I'm not ashamed to admit that. Gotta start somewhere. I was never that athletic or interested in the gym until now. I'm not fat, pretty good shape for being 45 yrs old, 6'1" and about 185 pounds. I had some surgery on my left arm a couple years ago which made it quite a bit weaker than the right one. I want to correct that.
My other goals basically run the gamut: to get all-around stronger, have more stamina and endurance for hiking and outdoor activities, to have bigger chest, shoulders, and biceps, and to have flatter abs.
I've been working out regularly for only 5 months so far, and am seeing some modest gains. Feeling better too.
Basically I wonder if I'm on the right track with both the workout plan and supplements. I'm doing a basic Mon-Fri training schedule which cycles through triceps, shoulders, biceps, back, chest, legs and abs. I top it off with cardio (which I HATE!! It's torture!).
I'm trying to follow The Abs Diet. I like it so far; it's pretty much what I like to eat anyway, so I find it easy. Only problem is remembering to eat six times/day.
Supplements are:
BSN Cell-Mass (two scoops/day)
Nitrix (3 tablets 3 times/day)
CLA Plus with Clarinol (1/2 tbsp/day)
Optimum Nutrition Whey (3 scoops/day)
Multivitamins, CoQ10
I can't do the whole BSN mass stack because my stomach does NOT like NO-Xplode at all.
So what do you think? Doing OK so far as far as supplements and plan?
Thanks guys.
