I am trying to get away from dairy and so I'm looking for a whey alternative. I've never really liked why and have used egg in the past with some good results. Has anyone used this product, and does anyone else use egg vs whey?

The price seems really good for 10lbs

Yes I have taken egg protein... Heads up though, heavy use caused really foul smelling shits and gas. Ungodly.

Years ago I had a buddy get a jug of egg protein and he hated it. I didn't care for the flavor but it really seemed to make me grow quick. I've never felt like whey has been very effective for me. I'm ok with stinky shits and farts if my muscles grow :)

Why can't they make whole egg protein? It would be nice to take in between meals without having to add anything (fats or carbs) in it.

I blend my protein with raw almonds and usually oats when the plan is to use it as a meal replacement.

Be careful with using too much of this stuff bro you will def. reak! But other than that its a good product
I have used it myself and have no complaints at all. It worked for me and was a good alternative to using
something else. I think you should try it for sure and thats a pretty sweet deal right there too.

Not sure why anyone would want to eat all that cholesterol and fat when they can get egg whites.

Cholesterol

Approximately seventy percent of the cholesteol you have is produced by your body. So, if you have a high cholesterol reading, you can blame it on your parents.

That means that consuming more choesterol isn't going to dramatically increase you cholesterol levels.

In fact, it appears that when you consume more cholesterol that you body automaticall cut back on it cholesterol production.

Many low carbohydrates with higher protein and fat intake has decreased an individuals cholesterol reading.

Health Benefits

Cholestrol is a necessary component in hormonal production.

Some research shows that older individuals with higher cholestrol levels live longer.

Egg Yokes

The majority of nutrients are in the yoke. Egg white contain very little nutrients.

So, why would you throw the food component with the greatest nutrients away.

It remind me of how whey was once concidered the waste product of protein and throw away.

Protein Content

Approximately fifty percent of the protein is in the yoke, about 3 grams.

How much sense does throwing good protein away make?

Reserach

Donl't take my word or anyone elses. Do you own research and findout for youself.

Cholesterol we eat doesn't become cholesterol in our body. Body manufactures cholesterol from saturated fats. The more saturated fat we eat the more cholesterol the liver makes.

Saturated Fat

Saturated fats increase LDL readings.

Two Type of LDL

However, there are two types of LDL.

Particle A LDL

This is not harmful.

Particle B LDL

This is harmful.

Determing Which LDL

You HDL and Triglycerides will tell you.

High HDL and Low Triglycerides indicate you have more Particle A, not harmful.

Low HLD and High Triglycerides indicates you have more Particle B, harmful.

You can also have an LDL blood panel run.

Kenny I agree that cholesterol is good for you however I don't think eating a ton of it is. That whole egg protein powder used to get 30g protein say 3x a day would mean you're consuming a TON of cholesterol. I can't see that being that healthy for anyone.

You'd be eating a ton? Really?

You need to read more.

Based on the nutritional facts on that whole egg protein to get 28g of protein I'd need two servings. If I did that 3x a day that would be 3570mg Cholesterol or 1200% of your daily requirements. That is assuming you don't get any other cholesterol during the day from other sources. I'm not sure if that is a TON of cholesterol but I don't think its a healthy intake of it. Do you think otherwise?

Cholesterol from Eggs Has Little Impact on Blood Levels

"One study showed that the dietary intake of cholesterol, specifically from eggs does not influence blood cholesterols that much! Even cutting down the amount of cholesterol you eat, barely puts a dent on your blood cholesterol."

My Experience

I spent a year on the Dr Mauro DiPasquale's Anabolic Diet.

Monday through Friday, I consumed up to 12 eggs a day, a pound of bacon, and about a pound of meat (30% fat), whipped cream, etc.

Saturated Fat Intake

My daily fat intake was 150 - 200 gram per day, Monday through Friday.

Approximately, 75 - 100 gram were saturated fat.

I will let you do the cholesterol math for me.

Saturday and Sunday

I did a carbohydrate load, my fat intake was cut in half.

Lipid Panel

After a year on the diet, here were my results.

Triglyceride: 69

Cholesterol: 193

HDL Cholesterol: 56

LDL Cholesterol: 123

The Seven Countries Study

This is the foundation of the hype that cholestrol is bad.

The research published was based on the results of seven countries with high cholesterol intake in those countries and the cardiovascualar problems those individuals had. Based on this information Keys' published the result and concluded cholesterol caused cardiovascular problems.

However, this is a huge flaw with Keys' research. Keys research is fraudulent

The 22 Countries STUDIED!

Keys' study really was on 22 countries. However, 15 of the other contries Keys researched showed NO relationship between high cholestrol intake and cardiovasuclar problem.

Keys then DISCARDED the research obtain from 15 countries because it did NOT support his premiss.

Throwing out information that does NOT support your position isn't science. It is a con job.

Brain Washing

As Joseph Goebbels (Nazi Minister of Propaganda) basically stated, "If you scream something loud enough and long enough, people believe it."

High cholesterol intake has been chanted for decades. The public has been Brain Washed into believing it is evil.

"...I don't think its a healthy intake of it."

I don't think = I am guessing. Don't guess.

Do you home work and come to you own conclusion.

Kenny eating 12 eggs a day or a pound of bacon isn't healthy. When I eat high sodium and high fat foods I feel like I retain water and feel sluggish. A pound of bacon not only has way too much fat it also would be extremely high in sodium. What next are you going to tell me sodium isn't an issue to be concerned about either? I do believe high cholesterol is genetic however I do believe excessive eating will alter lipids as well.

If I Knew Then What You Told Me Now

Wow, I which I'd know this before I spend a year of consuming up to 12 eggs, up to a pound of bacon, and about a pound of beef a day.

My Lipid Panel might have been better than just great!

Factual Reply

I am impressed with you factual reply. Hard to dipute you, "Because I said so"...

You definitely working on your parenting skills.

When I eat high sodium and high fat foods I feel like I retain water and feel sluggish.

As many doctor will tell you, "If it hurts (doesn't feel good), DON'T do it. That was easy.

It not an issue with healthy individuals. I provide information for you...but since you didn't research the information I previously provided you, I don't see any value providing you with any more.

I do believe high cholesterol is genetic however I do believe excessive eating will alter lipids as well.

"I believe" means I don't know but I am guessing.

DON'T sit on your butt and wait for something to fall on your head or someone to spoon feed you information.

Don't "believe" me, get off your ass and...you going to hate this four letter word but here it comes...READ!!!

I have helped you as much as I can...that means we be done with this topic!

Kenny I have made dietary changes like adding healthy fats in the form of olive oil and watched my cholesterol drop from 188 to the now 122. I still eat some bad foods but nothing in excess. Salt is fine in healthy people however like anything you can eat too much of anything. If eating high saturated fat diets and high sodium diets was the thing to do doctors would be encouraging this. I don't think you're right however I will find references to prove it. I personally don't know exactly where to look but I have a friend that would likely be happy to dig up some legit medical references.
