I am contemplating using Creatine but am afraid to due to all the side effects I have heard of. Are most of these myths? I heard it can cause acne and other side effects seen when using some steroids.

Thanks

Absolute BULLSH*T...these are myths and propaganda. Take your creatine without worries!

I've never had a problem with the stuff . Acne , doubt it . If you already get acne i don't think you can blame it on creatine .

other than your body retaining more water, creatine is safe. My favorite is Cell-Tech doesn't matter what flavor their line in my opinion is the best.

WOW. OK thanks, its so weird that all these people use to tell me it was bad for you.

Just make sure to drink plenty of water!! A good rule of thumb I use is to add 1 litre while taking creatine to my usual 3 litres.

If you do this you will avoid the cramping etc that you have probably read about.

Ok. I think I might just give Creatine a try, any tips on how to start out taking it?

5 Grams a day is plenty. Some people load it up for 5 to 7 days at 20 grams, then drop to 5.

right now in my opinion creapure makes the best creatine available. load 20g/day for the first 7 days and then 5-10g/day for maintaince. you should also look into cycling creatine 2 months on 1 month off.

one good friggin reason we argued for 5-6 mins on the topic, when it was all said an done, i told him that he just lost a patient..now i'm not a doc, but i try my best to research every supplement that i take. some doctors are true morons  :D

Most doctors (family practice) do not know much about diet, nutrition, supplements or training, they know medicine.

Doctors usually assume that any supplement a bodybuilder takes is harmful and unnecessary...do you know how many doctors are fat and smoke...its a joke!
