Aussie Actors, American Accents?

I don't think most americans can tell the difference. It's strange though, since crocodile dundee we have this annoying fascination with Australia. there are british actors doing american accents like charlie hunnam who don't sound very american.

As for Aussie accents there are a couple of different accent within Oz. Ballerat has a twang, and then there apparently is a subtle different between Sydney and Melbourne (but I could be wrong).
As for actors which actors are you referring to mate?

Crocodile Dundee is considered a dork by most Aussies I know. He played into stereotypes.
Dundee said, "lets put another SHRIMP on the barbie," But Aussies use the word "prawn" instead.
Also, Foster's beer is considered the sh*t beer of Australia, but it is exported to the US...."Foster's....Australian for beer."

Mel Gibson has assimilated well. I think only a skilled linguist could tell he's an aussie.

I've noticed that some of these Aussie actors can guise their accents pretty well and sound American.
One that comes to mind is this fine ass woman
I never would've known she was an Aussie till I seen her in an interview speaking with her Australian accent.

Aussie accents are tough to fake. Pacific Rim for example - sounded fkg retarded. Don't know why they didn't just use Aussie actors, they're cheaper.
Ryan Kwanten from True Blood does a great American Southerner accent, and then I just watched that Truth in Journalism and he did an excellent Eddie Brock new yorker accent....

This is literally all i can think about when I think about the land down under. I went to the zoo with my kid a few weeks ago. I looked at the zoo map and I didnt even see the word Australia. I saw "poppy montogomery land"

I like the guy who played on House and on Chicago Fire. Also Heath Ledger was cool. Lee Priest is a douche. I heard aussies were the most racist ppl goin...and it's hard to top some European countries.
