Is balsmati rice ok to use as a main source of complex carbs oats is my number 1 but I also love balsmati, is it a good complex or should I stick to brown rice or will it not really make much difference?

You can get brown basmati, best of both worlds. It's got 2g of fiber compared to white basmati's 0 and more iron, but both brown and white basmati are lower GI than regular white and are complex carbs.

It's complex, just is higher on the glycemic index than brown rice (or brown balsmati) so not as good if keep glucose levels lower is the goal.

Cheers hf03 I would rep you but I'm on my phone cheers tho, guess ill go with the brown basmati and oats, basmati and sweet potatoes are my main sources I would have to eat about 10kg worth I vegetables to hit my intended carb intake lol

Does it really matter anyway? If you eat a higher GI carb with fiber or fats it's going to slow the gastric emptying.
