got my chest/arms session tonight - got a question!

i usually do Db curls as opposed to barbell curls. should i be mixing them up or even do both? i do hammers, reverse db curl and tri extensions too but not really used barbell for curling.

are there any benefits using the barbell? do they hit the same areas as Db curls? also should i use them for the reverse curls sometimes/always/never?

thanks dudes

if this is the biggest question about your training program then you are probably focusing on the wrong thing.

no its not at all - im just wondering if there are benefits. i mix bench presses with db presses and felt the benefits - stability for one thing but i dont really know much bout the curling reasons for/if i should be doing it.

if you use a barbell, or an EZ curl bar, using a narrower grip will focus more on the outer head, while a wider grip will focus on the outer head more.

hey rook.. think you meant outer/inner.... just my $.02

I would ditch both and focus on movements that arent a waste of time in most situations.

And if you focus your energy and attention on something more important than bicep curl grips you might actually make some progress.

Your biceps should be fine if you are doing enough rowing and pulling exercises. I don't even do bicep curls anymore.
