I dont think that was the real trailer for 1989 Batman, but if I am wrong, christ help us in the hunt for creativity.
Trailers for movies back then were pretty short. And they got even shorter.. Trailers were the only thing that made me go out and BUY DVDs vs. buying VHS tapes back then. I never got to see the trailers or forgot and Dvds usually have them. In any case, old movies that had trailers that I never saw cuz I wasnt born yet, were usually pretty darn short in length and quite horrible.
It made me wonder what invoked people to see certain movies on opening night.
Repost from my linkdump.
It's fake, a compilation made by a fan.
those bastards. I'm with you on this. That old Batman trailer isn't real. It wasn't until the late 90s that trailers became so long. Nowadays, some trailers even show you the ending.
AKIRA, did you see the thread I posted about re-edited movie trailers? It made Marry Poppins out to be a horror flick and The Shinning out to be a "father becoming a better guy" movie.
some movies are so heavily promoted with different and lengthy trailers i feel as if i've already seen it. they give too much away. i'm not sure the first one here is original but they do a good job of making me want to see them.
