Hello hows it going.
I lately have been reading Nutrition books and reading posts on this forum, i am wondering tho about what diet is best for me.
I have decided i will have 6 meals a day.
Work out 5 times a week.

Would a very high in protein diet be well like so i can put on huge muscle mass say 3000 calories a day ? or should i go more ?

And a few questions to help me:

- Do i eat complex carbs or simple carbs ?
- Do i need to eat alot of carbs or healthy fats ?
- What % should i go on for prot/carbs/fat ?
- Do i need Supplements like Creatine to give me that extra bit of energy when pushing myself bodybuilding ?
- Do i need Protein Shakes when pushing myself bodybuilding ?

Bearing in mind i will work out a proper nutritional and bodybuilding regime.
Please write back

The type of diet that you go on is up to you. I would say that what ever you are doing make sure that the protein is high (1.5-2g per pound of bodyweight and 1g per lb of bw being a minimum.).

Complex carbs, especially slow burning carbs, are your best bet but if you want you can use some simople carbs post workout.

The macronutrient percentage is again up to you. I like 40/40/20, p/c/f. But that is just me and you can use which ever you like.

Stay with healthy fats, especially EFAs like flax or fish oil (both sources of omega 3).

Supplements like creatine are good. But, food first. Work on your diet and training for 6 moths, maybe even a year, before you get creatine or other supplements. If those elemnts are in place properly then you will see greater benefits from the supps.

Protein shakes are a great way to get protein in during the day because they are quick and easy. I perfer whole foods myself and the only time I drink a shake is after my workout. I would say that a good whey protein is helpful post workout.

As far as calories a day goes, that is different for everyone. How many cals per day are you eating now? How much weight do you way?

At the moment i weight 154 pounds my goal is 205 at the moment.
Calorie intake now is about 2000 calories unhealthy but i am working on the diet as we speak.
