Hey
I'm 235 Pounds, only 5'7 and only 18 years old.

I need advice on working out.. I wanna lose some fat and become pretty big and solid...

Should I take creatine? Or just Whey Protien? or a bit of both?
If i take creatine, and work out, will i lose my fat or will it just give me alot more mass and give me more fat to work with?

Or is it best if I just work out and just drink Whey Protein about 3 times a day?

Please any help would be great i really want to get into shape

Thanks

I would not bother with crreatine just yet...Get your diet and training in order first and then worry about this... (also, it may not be the best if you are trying to lose fat).

Get yourself a good quality whey protein isolate - it is helpful if you take this around your workouts (it is good taken in combination with some carbohydrates after you finish training).

There is some evidence to suggest it can inhibit fat loss (studies show it will decrease the rate at which your body uses fat as a fuel source - and inhances the rate at which your body uses carbohydrates as a fuel source).

Real food is better for you. Whey should be limited to a PWO shake (with some carbohydrates such as a banana, skim milk etc). It can also be taken pre-workout if you do not have enough time to have a proper meal (for example, if you train early in the morning, then getting up and having a similar shake before training is a good option....).

But other than that - have meals from real food.

Good luck! :thumb:

I would skip the creatine, take whey after a work out only, vitamin sometime after a meal, and eat right. However most people are gung-hoe on looking like a greek god in less than 6 months and will tell you to take creatine as well.
