First what do you think of it?

Second Take 1.5 - 2 teaspoons with 8-10oz's of water every morning. It recommends to do that 3 times per day....

the question..

Am I wasting my time and money or is a little bit better then nothing?

Betagen is not a bad supplement, however, it is not the best way to spend your money. It has a rather small dose of creatine in it, along with HMB, which has looked wonderful on paper, but never lived up to expectations in the real world. Almost all people that have tried HMB have been dissapointed with the results. You would be better off buying some regular creatine, and some regular glutamine and taking 5 grams per day of each after training.

Thanks for the quick response....

What brands of Creatine and Glutamine have you found to be the best?

My personal favs are now Titrated creatine by IDS and GL-3 glutamine by AST Research...

However, as long as you stick to quality companies like Twinlabs, EAS, Champion, Sportpharma, Labrada, etc...you will get a good product!

when i was taking HMB,i thought i was recovering a little sooner than past times BUT, i also was taking 5grams post w/o and another 5grms before bed...too much$$$$$$$$$ thats why i dont do that any more.....just what GP said glut/creat work great:)

Thanks Guys :thumb:

No, GL3 is not peptides, its the L-form. The best peptides are from Sports One and Osmo.

The main reason for Betagen being so costly is the HMB, and as gopro said there has not been any real evidence in the "real world" to make HMB worth your money.

It also has Potassium, Creatine, L-Glutamine and Taurine along with the HMB.

It's a pretty good mix, but expensive.
