The best thing about almost hitting the 50 year old mark is that you've seen and heard a lot of crap and hopefully have a pretty good bull-crap meter. Funny how googling something like "bodybuilding for men over 50" gives results that are mostly guys wanting to sell something - usually an e-book - not even a real book anymore! I spent the first 20 years of my life a hard-gainer ectomorph - then almost the next 30 years becoming fat and lazy. For 3 years now I have dropped and maintained the fat percentage to around 10 percent - and in the last 10 months seriously took on the free weight dungeon at the old Y downtown where NO ONE goes anymore. Nice thing about the place - not too much bull crap there.
I'm looking for help and connections with folks that have experience with bodybuilding for men in there 40s and beyond - good solid workouts with good sound nutrition.
