Hi everyone. Right now my routine is

Monday: Chest/Tris/Delts
Tuesday: Biceps
Wen: Legs
Fri: Triceps/Back/Biceps

However as you can see, I will be training my triceps and biceps twice a week unlike the other bodyparts, and happen to be training my biceps directly after my Delts on Tuesday. It will be obvious that on Tuesday, my delts will be sore terribly, therefore I need to know whether will it be a bad thing to train my biceps directly one day after taining my delts. Will that be putting too much pressure on it which prevents my Delts from progressing? Or will the stress be very little that allows me to simply proceed w/o worrying?

Thanks for reading.

No thats ok to do, your delts arn't used for Bi work.

Just another day in the gutter

Skyliner, maybe you can split your routine to Mon: Chest/Back, Wen: Legs, Fri: Shoulders/Arms. By doing that, you can still work on your triceps and biceps twice a week (Monday and Friday), and making things less complicating. Your delts will also be able to receive less attention and more recovery time.

You work biceps only on tues? How many sets?

Charger, when I am working on my biceps only on Tuesday, it's that giant sets/low reps routine. Normally I'll do Hammer and Single Arm curls, with 8 sets of 5 reps each.

Thanks for the info Scotty, now I can happily train my bis w/o worrying it'll affect my delts (yeah I worry too much, but hey

) I kinda like Desire's idea, maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks to all again

I only work biceps, and every other muscle, once per week as well.

Just because the majority believes it, does not make it true!

I think he was surprised by a day devoted to only biceps.

8 sets of 5 reps each? So you're doing 24 sets? WTF? Do 2-3 sets of 5 reps each, then if you're going to do them again in the week do something different, higher reps, accleration training, light weight/short rest/multiple set, or so on...

Complex problems have simple, easy to understand, wrong answers.

Yep, that's what I meant. I can see doing biceps twice a week by working your Biceps one day, back another. By doing this you are still working biceps twice. But devoting a whole day to just biceps, no way.
I just can't see devoting a whole day to a minor muscle such as biceps.

me too at the moment but I have trained them seperate but made sure to put 3 days to 4 days between them. I have found that a push pull routine seems to work the best, less chance of overtraining.
