As someone who considers myself a social liberal, I think he does a great job of pointing out how us "thinking liberals" feel about being associated w the occupy folks.

I'm not concerned about it. I think both Maher and Beck are not much more than entertainers. You're right, Maher does a good job touching on how people feel but I can't wade through the pandering to get to the thinking part.

that sad part is there is not enough emphasis on the blatant fraud that was committed on US homeowners and investors in the US and globally in regards to the US financial sector and our government that is complicit and allowed it all to happen.

and therein lies the problem with the US today. democracy works for wealth which is concentrated in the hands of the few. and I mean real wealth as in the manufacturing and/or production of commodities and services not the fake wealthy from finance. things are reverting back to the old days when the workers lived on wages that bordered poverty with not much extra money for the working class and education that is barely that.

this man understands right here. Ever wonder why theres a line around mcdonalds when theres tons of delicious mom and pa shops accross the street. Or when the radio station plays the new hit song 50 times a day and yet people still request it. Simplicity and repetion thats what people subconciously crave.
