Well guys my thyroid is in good shape. Cholesterol is in check. Everything was fine except....the doctor said my liver is "mildly irritated". The night before I had the blood work without thinking I drank for beers. Approx 7 hours after I stopped drinking I had the test. Can I get some opinions here? Does anyone think the irritation could be related to 4 beers? I am not on anything right now thats known to be liver toxic to my knowlege. Thanks for the help guys.

glad to hear most of the tests looked good.

i don't know enough to have an answer for you...but i do have a question. did you have your blood levels checked before you used any of the methyls like as a base reading or is this test your first?

This is the first test that I have. I didn't have one before the methyl-D. I have been off that stuff for like 2 months maybe more not sure....I only did 4 weeks on so I can't see that still having an effect on my liver unless it was mega fuked like 2 months ago.

I hear you. Like I said...I don't know enough to be helpful here but I know you'll get some good responses. (and try not to worry too much - it doesn't sound like the doctor was too concerned)

The only way IMO to answer the question is stay off alcohol for a week before testing and NO ORALS, test does NOT hit the liver that I have ever seen or heard of. It is an esterified compound, no methylation at all, if you drink test it will be shredded because it has NOTHING to protect itself from the liver.

To protect a drug from the liver it causes liver strain, test does not have this property. Tylenol and so on, do.

You could have a gentic issue or four beers may have xx amount of impact that showed up on the radar.

Trojanman, I drink like a pirate every weekend, and never have I had any enzimes off, except when I did nandrolone and it shot through the roof the levels of AST serum.

I've given blood and urine samples the morning after a major party, I was short of asking "you want it on the rocks?" and again, never any enzymes were off.

I am getting my results tomorrow for my first test after my 1st cycle... if all values are ok, I think I am taking my first shot of 2nd cycle right there in the Doc's office, LOL... can't wait!!

Yeah I am trying to think if anything else could have been messing with the values. The doctor, or I should say nurse on the phone said it was nothing bad just alittle "irritated". Whatever that means. Can antibiotics cause the liver to strain? I've been on those for almost 10 days now. Maybe the antibiotics mixed with the alcohol?. Either way I am going to lay off the beer and see what happens. When I finally get back on the cycle I am going to for sure get tested when its over with. Thanks for the thoughts

I know someone who came off 300mg of anadrol for an extended period of time, tested a couple weeks later with low range enzymes.

Some people are bulletproof, some are not. I know someone with genetic liver issues at 30 years of age and she hardly ever sees any kind of alcohol.

TM, find out what the values are. They should be able to give you a copy of the lab test. They won't give them to you if you don't ask. The ones to look at are ALP (should be 20-125), AST (2-50), and ALT (2-60). It'll be interesting to see what they are calling 'irritated'.

Hey JD I will call them today while I'm at work and request a copy. I'd be more then happy to share their findings.

IMO, I don't think four beers would change liver values. I do blood work consistently about every 6 months. I have drank beer the night before and it has never been elevated.

Ok I got the results of the tests. First off my thyroid was 1.31 and supposedly in the normal range, but on the lowwer end thats for sure. The range is .30-4.82. That that probably has a lot to do with my ability to get fat easy. My thyroid levels are on the lower end of normal.

As for the liver Alanine Aminotransfe is 116, Aspartate Aminotrans 49, and Alkaline Phosphatase 82.

Any opinions on these levels?

Well the ALP and AST are well within the normal range. It's the ALT that's elevated. Check out this link. Many things can cause elevated ALT. Two interesting possible causes are "The ALT level may be elevated in people who exercise vigorously", and "A recent injection into a muscle (IM injection) can increase your ALT level". If all three values were elevated, I'd be worried about it. But since two are normal and just one elevated, I doubt there is any cause for alarm. I have heard that people who workout have borderline high ALT values since it is also influenced by muscle breakdown. I would forget about doing a 17aa oral in your cycle however, until the ALT number comes down some.

I'm getting it checked again in a month...if all is good then I am going to get on cycle again. If the levels are not down quite a bit then I will stick to test and deca and leave out the dbol and winny.

honestly from what tests ive seen dbol dont eat ya up as much as the meth-D

Well I am going to see what the results of this next test is, and if things have gone down a decent amount then the Dbol is probably going to happen. If not then I will leave it out. No point is putting my self at more risk then I have to. Its not like I'm running against ronnie at this years Mr.O

Bringin back an old thread here. I found out what the liver issues are. After further testing I contracted Hep A from eating contaminated food. That will teach me a lesson to eat fast food..lol...anyways for those who care or remember my Prop flop followed by this liver issue. The Hep A is almost out of my system and I'm feeling much better. The Hep explains why I've meed exhausted all the time and shitting my brains out for the past 3 months. This Hep really messed with me and my training. Good news is that my body is building anti-bodies and I can never get it again. Mexico here I come...yum....anyways the Methyl-D and beer is not the cause for my liver to be inflamed. Its the Hep A. I'm getting blood work done again today and I had it done last month. Things were almost back to normal last month so I think everything will come back good this time, and antibodies will be in effect. I'll let ya'll know. So until I'm in the clear I am avoiding anything thats hard on the liver and I'm taking my milk thistle too. I'll post the results of the past two tests after I get copies of them.
