I was not sure what section to put this under so I just decided to put it in training.
I am wondering how accurate body past testing will be on a person who lost a massive amount of weight and has some excess skin on their body. If the skin pinch test is used it would get mostly all extra skin in the pinch and I want to know if that would make the reading inaccurate.

Also would the Hydrostatic (what whatever it is called) testing be accurate? Unfortunately there is not a place near me that has one of these facilities but if that is the only way I can get an accurate ready then I will eventually find one! Thanks for the help!

i would try and go for the hydrostatic if it is that big of a deal to you.

honestly though, why do you care so much about a BF% reading? if you are happy with what you have achieved and happy with how you look, it really shouldn't matter what some number says.

Well I am happy with what I have achieved but not satisfied. I feel like I have come SOOOO far but because of some of the excess skin I don't look the way I want to look and if i get a BF% test and it is low (like i expect it to be) i am hoping I will feel more satisfaction with the work I have done.

I honestly don't want to be big as a body builder like Ronnie Coleman and all those HUGE guys.. I want to be big all around.. just not as big as a body builder and I want to have some crazy abs.. as of now all 6 of my abs (six pack) show when i flex but they don't show that much when i don't flex.. so i need to lose more body fat to have abs like those in the movie 300? Because I will give it all to get to my goal which is to have abs like the spartans in 300..

Also one more thing.. Where can i get an accurate measure of body fat %? My goal is 6-7% because i believe thats when i can see my abs without flexing

This was under bodyfat % so i just posted here.. not trying to steal your thread lol
