Bonds is going to miss AT LEAST 2 months with after his knee surgery.

I just listened to an interview with him and I got to be honest, I am would not be surprised if he ends up retiring and not playing again. I know that sounds impossible, but he sure sounded like it.

Its his way out. I told my wife as soon as the story about Bonds being involved broke that he would feign an injury and retire short of the record, that way there would be no asterisk, no broken record, only a poor sad career ended early due to injury. Bet me??

that's what i thought would happen a few months ago when he first needed surgery and the whole steroid shit just started up.

I know it may seem like the cheap, easy way out, but steroids or no steroids, now he doesn't hafta answer to anybody.

Boo-hoo-fuckin-hoo.

I heard the interview on the radio and it sounded like he was trying to come off as the victim. He is certainly a talented and gifted ball-player and would be on almost everyone's short list of best players all-time, but he is a complete asshole off the field, so I have absolutely no sympathy for any misfortune that comes his way.

He is blaming everyone but himself for his problems.

He may be a dick, and if he genuinely is one, then fuck him.

but honestly, why do you think pro athletes act like that?

Well, simply because people...the media, fans, EVERYONE, treat them like fucking Gods. Every little thing they do, good or bad, is in the news. Everywhere they go they get swarmed by fans who want their autograph. They are idolized by asshole people who don't look into their own lives and make a hero out of someone that actually matters to them, like thier mother, father, friend etc. These same people are also very jealous of athletes' money, power and fame. The jealousy eventually turns to a bitter hatred of these athletes, so when any little thing happens, they jump on them cuz their so jealous. It's pathetic.

THATS why athletes act like that. Want them to stop acting like that? Don't pay them Millions upon Millions to merely play a game, and don't treat them like they are the 2nd coming of Christ.

everyone just needs to sit back and watch what unfolds and stop making predictions...bonds is extremely unpredictable..his comments vary depending what mood he is currently in
