Is anyone here a broker or have their license? I am interested in obtaining one so I don't have to rely on a broker for buying/selling properties and I was wondering the best way to go about it, any recommended schools for licensing?

Here in my country we just buy &/or sell, do the legal paperwork (transfer of ownership) & we release press release that I/We are buying such n such property, if there's no objection within the prescribed time we are good to go. Later we sell if off for profits.

If there is any middle man involved in the deal he just gets his percentage, the money he gets is usually in cash....if his firm is registered then he accepts only cheque.

Here we don't need any license for selling or buying properties, at least for individuals.

I am a Realtor, at the office I work at they offered all the classes I needed. Are you trying to get your Sales Person Liscence or a Broker's License??

broker's license (that is in the tile of my thread) :)

Ahaha :paddle:

You will need your Sales Person Lisence first, Practice for 2 years than you will be elgible to take the brokers test.

Meen while those 2 years pass, you can take the 9 classes required to take the test. I think it's 10 classes now, not 100% sure.

It sounds like a lot but it really isint.

Best dicision I ever made.

let me know if you have any more questions.

I read on the Colorado government real estate website that a 4 year degree substitutes for the 2 year salesperson requirement?

This is a very good forum that I'll provide the link to below. Very season RE investors, agents and brokers can give you top-quality advice. I've been reading this place for 5+ years.

Some people actually think it's better for you not to get a broker's licesn or agent license if you're investing (buying, selling, etc) because ther are certain legal conditions that you must follow if you're licensed.

The forum is called: reiclub.com

Here is a direct link to the forum. These people know what they re talking about:
