i saw the biggest one ever down in the keys. freaked me right the hell out. was like 6 inches long with a ton of inch long legs. they wouldn't be so bad if they weren't complete damn surprises when you see them.

If it has one pair of legs per segment then it's a centipede and they are poisonous not deadly but painful, if it has 2 pairs of legs per segment then it's a millipede they are harmless except for a secretion some of them can use as a second defense, but probably not any found in North America...
