Its at the sticky topic, is it really the best way to get bigger bi-ceps?

but some people here say that there should be constant TUT.

" You MUST start every single repetition with your arms fully extended."

That is saying you have to extend ur arm. Which is the most effective way?

There's only one way to 'extend' your arm bud :)

no what i mean is that should you go all the way down and take the tension off your biceps or just barely before that point? the article says to go all the way down...

Don't sweat it. No one can be me.

''You MUST start every single repetition with your arms fully extended. (Yes???I know this makes the exercise harder, now grab a tissue, wipe away the tears, and get back to work!)''

Every workout ''school'' where i have trained say that your biceps must be under constant TUT.

''The hard part will be forcing yourself to actually DECREASE the weight you currently use because, chances are, you've been padding your ego by working too heavy, while sacrificing the most effective ego-booster???BIGGER BICEPS!''

Why less weight?
Heavy weight and 6-10 reps makes the most important (type 2) to work hard, and those muscles have to most potention to grow, so why less weight?

Beacuse I see plenty of people at the gym with way too much weight that only let the weight down to abough parallel with the floor or SLIGHTLY more, then curl back up.

If they extended their arms, they'd most likely have to do curls with less weight to get it back up.

It isn't right to fully extend your arm though, when doing that you can get injured...

I just do it as heavy as possible, BUT only if i can get 2 reps of 8/9 each.

I go almost to the point of my arm being straight without locking out my elbows. I see guys in the gym with tons of weight and using most of their back to lift the weight up.:finger:

IMO you should do 8, 6, 4 rep keeping it under tension and in good form. If not Lighten the weight and go for 10, 8, 6. I try to stay away from cheat curls ( throwing the weight up) Because I don't get as much out of it. I switch from regular DB curles to hammer curls once I get to a failure point. seem's to work for me.

Stonesk, I've found that too, and I over heard one of the instructors telling the lifter to spread their legs to that one was in front of the other, which would stop the back arching, and well she said if he couldn't lift it then, then the weight was too heavy and to drop a size

I agree w/ LW. It seems every time I do curls while using an incline bench I get so much more out of them. Makes it impossible to use my back to lift the weight, and I always feel like my BI's are going to explode out of my arm. I need to discipline myself better while standing, however

i swear on this system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It worked for me so well i swear by it to everyone!!! I have really big problems growing my biceps since the rest of my body is really muscular and my biceps dont stand out so much....this has worked for me really good and I grew and almost an inch in 4 months...
