what do u guys do on this machine as ive never been at a gym that has one bofore?

and does anyone know what the rear delt exercises that jay cutler talks about on the cable cross over is ?
 
Does anyone else like this exercise?

I'm a bit partial about it. It doesn't feel right, but I need a good exercise for my rear delts.

I rarely use cables for anything other than tricep pushdowns.

Just do it standing up.
 
You can use dumbells instead. Actually, I think that's better anyway.


My gym doesn't have cables for that position, just a reverse fly machine, which I hate.

What do you mean for that position? The machine can't adjust up or down so that you can set it in the middle?

If this is the problem, then grab the high cable, and perform the movement, pulling down (retracting and depressing the shoulder blades).

Or, do the same movement with light DBs, lying prone on an incline bench.
 
I prefer dumbells on the flat bench for rear delts, but its down to the individual,whats more comfortable and which you think hits that certain muscle group...
 
I prefer dumbells myself - but we switch it up every wo, cables, machine and db's. On the cables, we do single arm usually
