Every time I do my calf workout only the inner part of my calf feels like it is working. And the next day only the inner part of my calfs are sore. I guess this would be the medial head according to the muscle chart. I work out at home and almost always do one leg raises with a dumbell off the end of the stairs. Are there any varied foot position or any other kind for calf excercises to work the outside ( lateral ) part of the calf I could do with my equipment I have at home. Adj. bench, rack system, 300# olympic set, and Db's up to 55#.

Thanks for any suggestions.

It could just be that the lateral head is stronger than the medial head so it doesn't seem to tire as easily.

Its all one muscle, you can change your foot position to hit it a little different but whatever you do, your going to hit the whole muscle.

Do a set with toes in, another with toes out, and another straight.
