Can you guys tell me what these numbers mean?

Here are the numbers I was asking about

eGFR IF = 56 should be over 59 ???

AST (SGOT) = 132 should be 0-40 ???


ALT (SGPT) = 77 should be 0-44 ???

I understand the rest of the report but can you guys clue me in about what the above numbers and values mean?

liver enzymes = high.

eGFR = glomerular filtration rate

Don't worry until eGFR goes under ~40. from what is then considered renal disease

your eGFR is pretty low compared to mine. mine is 123 mL/min/1.73

idk though

what are you using ,AAS ? protein intake ? what is your creatinine / BUN ??

I wish I could scan to make it easier for everyone to read. What other numbers do you want, Keith? Off the top of my head, my Test was over 1500 and my E2 was 103=Bad (need more consistancy on taking my A.I.). I am no orals and only 250 mg/week of test. I should also add, I am on Pravastatin for cholesterol 40 mg daily. Creatinine is 1.41 but I do have some slight kidney damage from eating a ton of advil before I knew how bad it is. I have seen a Nephrologist that thinks I am ok (as far as kidneys go) as long as I continue to have stable kidney #s.

The statin drug for cholesterol is probably what us causing your elevated liver values. Pretty common.

yes! statin drugs damage the hepatocytes which raise liver enzymes in blood.

any alcohol use ? any acetaminophen use ? (Tylenol)

NEVER tylenol (doesn't work for me) and a case of beer lasts me a year. I drink like a fish when we go on a cruise or Tropical Vaca, otherwise, very little.
