I like that frittata idea. Miso brothEmma-Leigh said:Bagels?!
Anyway - Oat bran + Fruit are my favourite...
But you can do anything really... Make yourself a frittata with some chick-peas or add some chunks of sweet potato... you could make sweet potato pancakes or sweet potato bread.... Make a asian breakfast and have some brown rice in a miso broth with some egg whites..... etc etc..
Just because it is not 'typical' breakfast food doesn't mean you can't use it at breaky!
ps: I wouldn't touch all bran so if you want to increase fibre I suggest you try shredded wheat bran or psyllium added to your oats...

GreenMan said:I've been living off oatmeal flapjacks for breakfast for years.
3 apples, 3 Bananas, 200ml apple juice, 100g chopped mixed nuts & seeds (hazelnuts, brazils, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pistachios etc) and 600g oats.
Place the chopped apples, bananas & juice in a blender & puree. Mix in the oats & nuts, put the mix into a lightly greased baking tray & bake for about 45min at 180 C.
I cut these into 12, and three of these plus a protein drink for breakfast/post workout just cannot be beat.
That does sound real good. Thanks for the idea.GreenMan said:I've been living off oatmeal flapjacks for breakfast for years.
