hi can anyone help?what excercises can one do to devlope the muscle from your lower chest into the armpit area?apart from flyes and cable crossovers thanks.:hmmm:

Not a lot really. Your genetics have already determined how you will shape up for the most part.

you cant limit yourself from genetics you can build your lower chest with decline bench db bench and decline flies

Genetics.

You can't change the shape of your muscles, or isolate certain portions of them. The chest works as one muscle. Training from different angles will strengthen your pushing muscles evenly for different planes, but the muscle will develop in a linear fashion.

All you can is make it bigger. My "lower chest" didn't become pronounced for almost 2 years, and I wasn't doing ANY decline work. It just got bigger and bigger until that part became big enough to see. Some people have chests bigger in certain areas. No exercise will change that; it's what you were born with.

Just make it bigger.

Um Phineas, since the fibers attach to different parts (upper chest connects to clavicle, lower chest connects to sternum and sometimes even upper ribs) there is definitely a fiber focus when you train at different angles.

In addition to what pete mentions, dips usually have that decline angle going on as well.

toy around with the the cable crossovers, try hitting them at different angles. Or even superset with decline bench and cable crossovers.

Decline bench is a worthless exercise. Flat bench and incline bench are good mass builders.

I think it's a combo of genes and your training regimen. Your genetics will influence the shape of your chest but some of that can be helped by good training and hitting different angles. I know of many with bad genes but were able to develop nice chest.

Not to controdict my breathren of IM. I totally agree about spot training that 99% of the time used in context of what most people are using it doesn't work.

I don't think it's entirely bullshit though. There was a video posted on here or link to it with Dorian yates saying decline was his favorite bench position.

in my experiance I tried busting out dips and decline bench like crazy and it didn't help at all to get rid of the bit of fat I still have on my lower chest. Genetics will determine where the fat comes off. , but if you're already swole/jerked/cut then I think spot training becomes a diff story

they're right i'm benching 365 my shoulders and upper chest are huge.. i can't get my mide to lower chest to develope for shit.. fuck it i run with it.. my back, shoulders, and thighs develope rather easy.. and my chest, biceps and calves is where i have trouble
