No rumor buddy, it is fact. China passed a law that started january 1st that made their production of raws illegal. Before then they produced no questions asked. Many raw companies closed the doors. This has had an effect on ugls for sure.

No raws are leaving China with this coronovirus. I heard February but that will keep getting postponed until things improve. Sources will dry up here soon.

I am quite sure that sources will still find " other " raws - but -I imagine pricing will be much higher ~

I thought it was always illegal.

Too bad i don?t get a tax return or i would stock up. I have to pay in every year.

Anyway, has this effected anyone yet ?

There's been a ton of Chinese based shops go dark.

It's just getting started I think.

Always a war on something.

I?m pretty sure this is China?s response to the tariffs created by Trump.

He is trying to bring raw manufacturing back to the US. :)

Crackdown on opiates and China playing nice for 2020 olympics. Throw the virus on top of everything and it's the perfect storm. I can't help but think it will be business as usual this time next year. Any time this stuff happens, the shops just move to where they can get away with it anyway. Just takes time. Happens in all businesses as long as there is a buck to be made.
