Clients body fat concerns

Hi I have a client who is mid fourtys 5:3 height weight 53kg trains regularly with kettlebells heavy sessions example using 20kg and 16kg and double swinging 12 kg. also does heavy duty caveman workouts max training 4 times per week . We had a professional nutritionist write a diet plan which carb cycles high and low max calories of 1200 per day her diet is very strict and only one cheat meal per week like a Chinese with no rice or chips.
this diet added weight to her with 5 lbs in two weeks since then we have cut the carbs down to very low example every day salmon and broccolli is main meals and breakfast would be two boiled eggs snacks would be almonds or walnuts. Other trainers looked at her diet and thought it was tight,.
any help would be great as she doesn't get tired or weak training her body fat is about 22
she also started taking anavar two weeks ago

sounds like she has a major problem with insulin insensitivity... put her on the treadmill, 30-45 min after every workout, and tell her to do 30 min everry morning fasting....
then switch her to keto diet... and on carb reload day have her take alpha lipoic acid with her carb meal(tell her to do a workout directly before her carb meal, this will prevent from storing as fat also)... I had a client that was identical...I don't like having people do keto unless absolutely necessary, but if they are that insulin resistant, it will help... especially if all their fat intake(as much as possible) is EFA's.. salmon, peanuts, almonds... etc, etc... pm me if you want a sample diet.. I can send you the exact diet I had my client on(loses 15lb or so per month), while retaining lean mass
 
Wait, she's GAINING weight on 1200 calories a day?
Yeah, she's only 53 kilos, but that's just plain wrong.

Tell her to bring in a meal for herself, and ask her how many calories are in it. Then YOU weigh and estimate calories. I have the feeling she can't calculate calories, is drinking her calories (and might not know it, eg. 'flavored' water), or is simply cheating and bullshitting you as to what she ate.
 
hows that working for you bro? did you understand the way I wrote it? I sometimes make things hard to understand the way I write them(just get on a tangent sometimes)...
 
She could be retaining. A lot of women have a hard time losing weight because of that.
 
She should have waited on the Var when she got her diet down and started to know her body and how it reacts to intake of nutrients rather then just eating food. Fail.
