Colorado Pro Show Live Webcast

are you going to the night show?

You should have tried to contact the promoter to set up a little IM Labs table at the night show. Probably would have been good for business.

this is live right now?

There is no ROI for a small company like mine, same with magazine advertising, I stopped doing both and I am focusing on internet only now. I was a sponsor in 2005 at all NPC shows in Colorado and did not see anything from it.

as far as the promoter, it is Jeff Taylor in this region, and I have known him for years. :)

well, getting on stage in a bikini and posing in front of a crowd is not the easiest thing for most people, for some it is and we call them "naturals", for others it is difficult.

also, when you are overtrained, sleep deprived, at an unnaturally low bodyfat level, carb depleted, etc., it makes it that much more difficult to perform, not to mention the day of a show is very long and tiring, and by the time you get to the night show you just want to eat and go home.

my point is don't criticize something like that if you have never done it yourself.

^^ did you have stage fright or feel uncomfortable when you were on stage?

not during pre-judging but at the night shows I always had a bit of anxiety, that combined with dehydration, carb depletion, hunger, etc., makes it hard to pose.

I don't think most people have any clue how hard posing for 2 minutes straight in front of hundreds of people is.

I did a first timers show a few years ago now ( I know it's not quite the same league as most of your guys) - it was tough, but I was on a right buzz! Think the sheer excitement got me through. I loved getting out there and showing what I'd worked hard for (although smaller, this was the best Id ever looked since taking up bodybuilding) and I was loving my posing tune too. Apart from the odd cramp in my hams and calves at times, it came easy . Knackering - but easy. However, I imagine the more seasoned you are the less novel doing a show must become.

It's strange too how your mind trips you out pre-contest - I used to have dreams the nights before where I'd turn up to pose and I hadn't shaved, tanned or dieted etc. I'd never worn posing trunks before then either, so that was a whole new thing for me too.
