Trying to spice up my diet of oatmeal, cottage cheese, rice and chicken blaah blaah with Lean pockets:

Taste pretty good and have the following stats:

Cals: 200
Fat: 6g
Carbs: 19g (sugars 4g)
Protein: 24g

Any comments pls???
Good/Bad?? Stay away?

Sodium?

I don't know anything about the ingredients, but the numbers look fine to me.

Probably stuffed with trans fats. If all of your other meals have low sodium then I guess it's alright to have a couple a week, thats what makes them taste good is the high sodium, you're better off just adding a little more salt to your rice and chicken.

No trans fats, but lean pockets are made with white flower. But, the other day I saw some that were made with wheat, not whole wheat but its better than enriched.

Theyre not too bad if you need something fast, but If you need something really fast you mgiht try a Bananza bar. They are made by Designer whey and very healthy.

Ok - thanks for the advice.

I had started eating a couple a day for a few days thinking they where a nice healthy addition to my diet, but from what I've read thats pretty much a bad idea. So I guess I'll stop! :)

I have never heard of these before?? What are they? What do they have in them?

If they are a pre-made meal thing then I would be cautious about adding too many - esp. if they are made with things such as white flour, oils etc etc.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals

They are pre-made items. I would stay clear of them. Could be loaded with transfat. Also they are more than likely made with enriched flour oppose to whole wheat flour. Just because they say they are healthy doens't mean they are. If that was the case we'd all be eating snackwell cookies everyday ;)
