Well the date on Saturday was the 28th, and for those of you that remember it was the date for the competition that i was supposed to compete in.
My trainer was the major sponsor for the comp and did all the organising and trophies etc, so i went down to help. The thing about that was i got more than i bargained for. I ended up being the stage manager for the show!!
It was totally awesome!! It kinda made me wish i had competed, looking at some of the guys that would have been in my catorgory i rekon i would of at least got a placing. But in a way i'm also glad that i didn't compete.... It gave me a great desire to train for that same comp next year, and train hard!! Seeing the guys and girls with their training partners pump each other up, putting on tan, oiling, psyching.... it was a buzz!! Then there i am in the middle Gettin them ready, giving them that last encouraging word as they go on stage, being the first one to high five them or shake their hand or pat em on the back and say awesome job as they come off, it was great!!
There were some awesome success stories as well. One guy had lost 47kg, thats about 103 lbs to compete  There was a fella there that was 59yrs and he looked fantastic and another bloke about 70 (he looked like an old saggy Arnie  ) good on him eh!:thumb:
I'll post some pics later if you want (just the good ones) i dont know how good they turned out, i had to get my mate to take them as i was back stage all night
Any way that was my little story... Hope you enjoyed.... :D

Sure sounds like you had a great time!!!!

Post some pics of the bb and the stage manager in action!

So we'll be looking out for you next year?

Hey PT.i hear ya.Use that want and desire to get up on stage next year, getting on stage is one of the most freakiest things to do. but the ''rush'' you get is totally worth it. plus the other benefits. you molded yourself into a lean mean machine. you can look back at the time and dedication and hard work you put into and learn from it. BBing makes you a better person over all. just the lifestyle makes you a better person. win or lose your're still a winner, why, because you stepped on stage, maybe not at your best, the first time, but thats what's its all about, learning different things and meeting new people. It's truely a great experience. go for it next year, trust me you'll love it.:thumb:

Hey Lina how are ya.
I dont think anyone took pics of me  sorry.
TW wasss uppppp!
I've started doing GPs p,rr,s method (very cool, bust your butt way of training!) Yes next year i shall be victorious!! (with the help from my friends at IM!)
Thanks Tank.
Most people you know think that people who are into BB are vain and selfish but i dont think anyone at that comp was like that at all. These people were doing their chosen sport and perfoming at "the peak" level of that sports competition. You never hear anyone saying Grant Hackett is vain or selfish when he's doing hours and hours of laps in the swimming pool.
Every single person that won their division said how fantasic they feel and how great it is to feel healthy and good about yourself.
I just love the fact i'll be able to take my shirt off at the beach this summer without being embaressed :D
Yes my workout yesterday was very intense talk about taking it up a few notches  My training partner has been lifting for 4 weeks and was lifting with awesome intensity and hit a new level (that itself was great to watch!!)
The thought of competiting next year BRING IT ON!!
I gotta download the pics off my dads camera so i'll post them asap.

This is Rob, he won the under 80kg category.
If i didn't do novice class i would of had to compete against him!!
Pic is from local paper got real ones coming soon.

Hey PT...Honey!!!! Great to hear you got to play with the big boys!!! Only wish this was happening on the Wet Coast!!!! Last week I went to the National Titles for Kickboxing......my girlfriend competed and got herself a National Title and 2 thirds...not bad considering she was only training seriously for 6 weeks!!! Can you imagine what natural ability is just wasted there!!!

Bring on the pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
