Great idea, give starving kids in Africa a peanut butter diet and no milk.

No wonder why those kids have it all over their faces, they can't swallow, damnit!

I feel bad for people in that situation, but please tell me, why do they keep having kids?
I feel bad, but at the same time, they're idiots, for having kids in those conditions. I know there isn't any birth control, so why don't they keep their legs closed? Why would you want to bring a child into that world?

Okay, Ben, they're idiots? Because we all know that sex is just for having kids. You said "there isn't any birth control" yet seemingly assume they won't have sex. Why? :geewhiz:

The next video will be on strawberry jelly and powdered milk? :hmmm:

If I lived in that situation, I'd keep my dick in my pants. I would never want to chance having to bring a kid into that world. Why would you even want to take the risk of having to make more children suffer under those conditions?

I say the same thing about people I know. If they live under bad conditions, they need to make sure they take the proper precautions.

My wifes cousin is pregnant, and she lives in the crummiest part of Detroit. A house full of white people, in the middle of the hood. They tell people not to come visit them at night, and not to wear certain colors. Why in the fuck would you want to bring a child into that? She didn't plan it, but she couldn't keep her legs closed, and couldn't use proper protection. People need to think about the future, not just the here and now.

The conditions these people live in are the worst of the worst, yet they cant stop reproducing.

These people know how hard it is, how weak they feel, how hungry and sick they are. They were born and raised in it, they see others with children, suffering to stay alive, yet the keep popping those babies out. One by one. Day after day.

It's heart breaking to watch those children go through that. The sad thing is, once they get older, they're going to bring their own kids into that situation.

These people are either retarded(no other word for it) or they are so used to living this way that they just don't care.

If you lived in their situation, then you wouldn't be you anymore, you would be them, and you would do exactly what they do.

So we've come to the conclusion that these people are incapable of making rational decisions. They are either born this way, or brought up this way. Either way, they cannot stop themselves, and the suffering will never end.

How much aid can the U.S(one country out of many) provide, when it can't even take care of itself? This crisis will never end, unless some miracle or divine intervention happens.

I hate to put it this way, and I never thought I'd say this, but, this is a bottomless money pit. Millions of dollars and many resources wasted. It will never end, and countries around the world will keep burning up their money, trying to help those who cannot help themselves.

People bitch about U.S citizens who use government assistance, label them as lazy, worthless, etc., then they see these people on TV, feel bad, and start sending them money every month.

The single mother, raising three kids, is looked down upon, by society, but the ethiopian mother of 5, with nowhere to live, no way of feeding, bathing, or protecting her children, is given money from strangers every month. HMMMM......

There is a lot more to it than that.

I know what you're saying, but saying this is making an incredible amount of assumptions. You are looking at this from a life-in-the-United-States viewpoint. There is a lot more going on, including culture, religion, education, rape, etc. Many in third-world countries rely on a large family to help work the land, for example.

I don't know all the factors. But things are way more complicated than in America. In America, yeah, close your fucking legs and stop having welfare children.

But in third-world countries, I don't know if you can just have a blanket assertion that "they are idiots for having kids."

There's more to it than that. Take, for example, the role of religion in many of these regions. The Catholic Church has stepped up it's proselytization efforts in Africa with much success. We all know what their stance is on abortion and contraceptives of any kind... Likewise, Muslims have the same ideas when it comes to sex. many ridiculous superstitions abound that do nothing but bring the people even further away from any type of real progress.

There are a number of solutions to these problems, but I'll restrict it to only three: education, empowering women, and downplaying the role of religion in these areas (Not getting rid of it completely). They aren't stupid and this is seen when many people from these countries come to the US or other western nations. They end up being "model minorities" - generally speaking... Because of my background,I know tons of people from different African nations and they are usually in the medical field. You and I also know that education leads to lower birthrates because sex is recreation for the poor and uneducated.

Empowering women in those areas will help to lower the birthrate as well. They could go out, work, and realize that there is more to life than staying at home having a kid every year. Lastly, if you downplay the role of religion, that takes the mental shackles off of sooo many people too... Sexual norms, gender roles, etc would be changed because of this alone... Now, of course this doesn't account for the corrupt leaders that run most of these places and other factors, but I think this is a start.

10 years down the road, all these kids will be allergic to nuts. Peanuts are what they are for a reason, you change the contents, you change the outcome.

The best way to change the path this has become is to inform. Its a way of life now, nothing more is known.. show a different/better way and that will gradually become the norm. Tossing money in that direction only shows that food and supplies can appear out of thin air.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life.
