i just began bodybuilding recently and i have couple of general questions.
First i have noticed that when i am doing 80% of my max sets [ in reps of 8-10] I usually dont feel much pain. I just feel numb and stiff. Where as when i do lower percentile sets like 60-50% of my max [in reps of 18-20] i feel pain. Is this normal? or am i not pushing myself hard enough when i am doing my 80% ?
Second, after getting pretty deep into one of my work outs i hit a point where i am too tired to lift my weight all the way up anymore. Someone once told me that when this happens i should spot my arm up. But others tell me i should just decrease my weight by 2.5 lbs so i feel more comfortable and continue doing that till i finish my set. Which method is better?
Thirdly are pectoral muscles and anterior deltroids same thing?
and lastly what muscles does a push up work out? i am guessing anterior deltroid your lat and posterior deltroid and your tricep.
