So, I have to share this with you guys, b/c it is so bizarre.
My roomate had a lot of weight to lose--he was nearly 270 @ 5'9"--very little muscle mass, drinking heavy, etc.
Anyhow, he stopped drinking, started biking, and went on his own version of low-carb...ONLY BREAKFAST MEATS, CHEESE, and EGGS!
And by breakfast meats, I'm not talking turkey bacon and ham. I'm talking he ONLY EATS bacon, sausage, eggs, and cheese.
I don't know why. It has nothing to do with money. He has literally thrown away THREE PICKLE JARS full of fat from the frying pan in the last two months.
In this time he has lost about 35 pounds+. The weight loss has slowed down (very rapid in the first three weeks). But he still has made no changes to his diet.
Isn't this odd? No lean meats....today he bought SAUSAGE GRAVY by the frozen box full (8 boxes to be exact) as his "carb source."
He takes no supplements and he smokes...I can only imagine what his cholesterol and lipid levels are like.
So....what do I tell him?
