Excerpt from "The Bi-weekly Bull, Issue 17"
Creatine serum has been around for a while, and despite research demonstrating that creatine serum products contain less than 2% of the creatine that the label claims (due to the fact that creatine is not stable in solution for long periods), some companies still sell it, and many consumers still buy it. In a newer study performed in the UK, 5 mL of ATP Advantage Creatine Serum from Muscle Marketing USA, 2.5 g of creatine monohydrate, or control (water) were given to men for three week periods and blood and urine samples were taken. As expected, the creatine monohydrate significantly increased creatine levels, whereas neither creatine serum nor water had an effect. The creatine serum was also analyzed, and only "trace amounts" of creatine were found. This once again shows that creatine serum is a waste of money.
