When is the best time to take creatine for best and fastest results in strength and size gains? Post workout?

I think it was pre-workout? to get that boost in energy to lift high volume.

nni will argue pre workout, i will say post. either way it doesnt really matter, there are no studies showing one is more beneficial than others. do what you like best

You'll get good absorption post workout.

i have read of people splitting their dosage (3-5g) up into two servings. not sure of any benefits of this. personally i feel its best to take it when absorption is greatest, e.g. post wout, saves any fucking about.

Personally I think post-workout if carbs are involved, so the insulin can help drive it into the cell. However, I don't think the difference is going to be that much either way.

Creatine is nitrogenous organic acid that occurs naturally in vertebrates and helps to supply energy to muscle and nerve cells. Creatine was identified in 1832 when Michel Eugène Chevreul discovered it as a component of skeletal muscle, which he later named creatine after the Greek word for flesh, Kreas.

I really don't think its going to make a big difference when it's taken either but if I have to pick one I'm going post workout. But agreed it's really no big deal either way.

I finally got some creatine capsules from GNC... only problem is that they come in 3mg creatine caps. Is this a problem.

How much should I take pre and post workout. It says on the back take 5 caps post workout with 12 oz of water but I dont know if thats enough.

thats 15g that should be good unless you want to load it for the first week were you would take 30g a day then after that week take a regular dose of 5-15g per day

There is always this argument as to whether it's better to take creatine before or after a workout. Though there may not be any scientific studies done to shown when is the best time to take creatine, it really seems logical to take it after a workout rather than before.

Those who argue that taking creatine pre-workout (normally immediately or half hour before) is preferable because doing so would make the creatine available to do its job during the workout. But this simply does not hold. The creatine, after consumption, needs time to be absorbed and transfer to the muscle. It would therefore take some time before it will be available to the muscles. In fact, taking creatine before a workout may be bad because creatine pulls water into the muscles and as such would deprive the rest of the body tissues of water. Working out with a dehydrated body is definitely no good.

On the other hand, taking creatine after a workout is totally logical. During a workout, creatine would be depleted making the muscles "hungry" for refill. Taking creatine after your workout would serve to replenish it back and the uptake by muscles would be expected to be better.

horse shit.. dont waste your money and load it. take one cap before and one after, and that should be plenty 6g/ED

Yeah, i dont put much stock in that loading thing either.
